Saving & Loading
The whole colony — every elf, bond, composition, lexeme, and the world itself — is saved to a single quicksave slot.
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
F5 | Quicksave to saves/quicksave.ron |
F9 | Quickload from saves/quicksave.ron (replaces the current colony) |
The game also autosaves to the same slot when you quit, so closing and reopening then pressing F9 resumes exactly where you left off. The save is written atomically, so a crash mid-save can never corrupt an existing one. The native renderer uses the same F5/F9 keys and the same autosave-on-quit.
